on 2.1.125, apm -s froze the machine with lots of colored garbage (not
moving) on the vga screen. Ctrl-Alt-Del not working. Reset button putting
the machine in suspend mode, restarting it returning to the same colorful
screen... I had to use the hardcoded fonction key `toggle resume/start mode'
to bring it up again.
My apm configuration, which is the same in 2.1.124 and 2.1.125:
