This is already fixed in the released patch -- mkdep.c parses for
'__SMP__' and generates a dependency on include/config/smp.h. Tom just
needed to run 'make dep' after installing the patch to get the dependency
created.
Note that you don't have to run 'make dep' each time after changing the
configuration; just once after patching source or getting new source.
This has always been the case.
