Problems with the IBM token ring adapter under Linux

I installed an IBM TokenRing adapter on one of the Linuxes here, when
trying to insmod the module I get busy. (modprobe doesn't find anything)
When copmiling it into the kernel, I can see no line about token ring in
the boot sequence.
I tried with kernels 2.0.35 and 2.1.125.

I have no further details about that card (but the fact that it is a 16/4
PCI one), and would appreciate any feedback. It is pretty urgent to me.
