I had a strange problem with Linux 2.1.127 on a Pentium UP. When
I ran the POSIX testsuite on it, the load went up to 6. When that
occurred, it took 20 minutes to run any simple command, like ls.
At the same time, "w" showed there several processes idling for
more than 3 days although I just rebooted the machine less than
a hour ago. It seems that the scheduling in 2.1.127 has some
serious bugs.
