my machine BIOS forgets to reset hdparm's after a suspend. As I use the
keep-features-reset flag, when the kernel resets the IDE bus I get the
right parameters again. But it's frankly a stupid way to do it.
Imho, the IDE driver should set the HD paramters back after an APM resume.
(Also and unrelated, I still get IDE resets in the middle of work and they
don't seem to be idle-related. The IDE chip is a UMC8886BF. Could it be
that the BIOS changing CPU frequencies could disrupt wait loops?)
