not a desktop OS

The new swapping code in 2.1.x is not a good idea for desktop or single
user machines... Instead of expected performance increase it actually
decreases the performance of my home machine. I have enough memory not to
use swap at all with the programs I'm running. Instead what happens is
that when I work on something for a while I find the rest of my programs
swapped out and bringing them back to life takes a lot of time, and when
they finally start responding my other idle programs get swapped out.
This is *bad*. Right now disabling swap space seems like a good idea
(sic!).
