cdrom driver

Every time I stop a spinning cd with cdstop I get those messages after a
pause some seconds long:

Jan 19 13:52:47 wonderland kernel: VFS: Disk change detected on device ide1(22,0)
Jan 19 13:53:07 wonderland kernel: hdc: irq timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy }
Jan 19 13:53:08 wonderland kernel: hdc: ATAPI reset complete

Even if I did not change the disk.

Is my reader broken (noname 8x) or is the driver buggy?
