After I upgraded from 2.1.132 to 2.2.0pre9, my klogd cribs
at startup thus:
Jan 23 19:19:44 anjala syslogd 1.3-3: restart.
Jan 23 19:19:44 anjala kernel: klogd 1.3-3, log source = /proc/kmsg started.
Jan 23 19:19:45 anjala kernel: Cannot find map file.
Jan 23 19:19:45 anjala kernel: Error seeking in /dev/kmem
Jan 23 19:19:45 anjala kernel: Error adding kernel module table entry.
Jan 23 19:19:45 anjala kernel: Linux version 2.2.0-final (root@anjala) (gcc version pgcc-2.91.60 19981201 (egcs-1.1.1 release))

I have a System.map in /usr/src/linux, and a copy in /boot/System.map-2.2.0-final.
/dev/kmem exists. What is the problem and has anybody else seen this?
