It makes a tremendous difference:
before fastfs: Did 88 loops in 3.00 seconds (29.33 loops/sec)
after fastfs: Did 9900 loops in 3.00 seconds (3304.41 loops/sec)
Thanks for the source! I think I have seen a version of this for SunOS
from several years ago, but I never had one for Solaris.
