PROBLEM: hda: lost interrupt when using 2.2. kernels

when using 2.2 kernels

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:

When this message shows up in the terminal the system hangs (is the only
hd in the PC). I don't know how to reproduce it or what causes it, all I
can say is that it seems to be a random problem that is a reall pain in
the a... When this happends all I can do is reset the system and then wait
for fsck to finish.

(????) This is an Pentium MMX 233 MHz with 64MB RAM, 6.4 GB HD in master
primary, 128 MB swap in /dev/hda3, root=/dev/hda2, /usr=/dev/hda4, winbugs
partition= /dev/hda1. MainBoard Pentium MMX VXpro-II PCI Chipset. About
ide it says:
"Onboard PCI IDE interface with two connectors supports four IDE devices
in 2 channels and the PCI IDE controlles supports PIO Mode 0~4 at maximum
transfer rate if 16.67 MB/s"
"...four IDE harddisk drives without device driver for S/W application and
the capacity of each harddisk can be larger than 528 MB up to 8.4 GB"
