If it's anything like the cmd-640, run screaming and get an add-on board
for IDE or live without DMA enabled..
It may be a simple bug in the cmd-646 but if I remember right, this chipset was
plagued with UltraDMA buggies.
I make a cross with my fingers whenever I see the CMD logo on chips..
