got oopsed

I was running netscape and nothing much else. I'm running nearly the stock
2.2.7 kernel with only a couple of patches to do trivial, irrelevant things.
got an oops on X and wmaker. the trace looked like it happened in some
rather core parts of the kernel, hence this bugreport..
