What?

100% of any recent laptops will do exactly this. You won't find any new
machines entering the market that don't boot from CD.

Anyway, let's drop this, and agree to disagree. You aren't seeing (or are
delibertely ignoring) my points about validation and bootstrapping, so
let's just drop the discussion.
