This could be easily caused by bugs in kernel-quota code... I've made patches
for those bugs - you can download them at ftp://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/pub/local/jack/quota-fix-2.2.9.diff.gz.
They should get to 2.2.10 too...
