Yes on both counts, by all means. :-) I'll have another quick look at what
I'm using locally, because I did a little tweaking on some of the geometry
settings IIRC. Plus I wrote a handy (read: stupid) little user-space tool
for automating the partitioning of the device at bootup, into two
partitions of equal size. I'll email you privately.
