NFS with 2.2.x kernels suffers from instabilities...
I found the following kernel oops (from rpc.nfsd) on the server:

-------------------------------------------
Restarting the NFS server cured the problem (so far).
System is Debian 2.1 with kernel 2.2.10-SMP (both client and server).
Any further information needed?
I need stable (production) systems with numerous NFS mounts all across the
cluster. This is hard with 2.2.x ! Recommendations for a kernel version to
prefer? I tried 2.2.{4,9}-SMP before, with moderate success.
(Someone suggested 2.2.7 recently...)

Burkhard Bunk.
