When I tried to load sound-modules the following error occured:
/lib/modules/2.2.10-ac5/misc/sound.o: invalid parameter parm_io
/lib/modules/2.2.10-ac5/misc/sound.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.10-ac5/misc/sound.o failed
/lib/modules/2.2.10-ac5/misc/sound.o: insmod sound failed
These are my settings in /etc/conf.modules:
alias char-major-14 sound
alias sound sb
alias sound-slot-0 sb
alias sound-slot-1 sb
alias sound-service-0-0 sb
alias sound-service-1-0 sb
alias sound-service-0-3 sb
alias midi awe_wave
alias synth0 awe_wave
post-install sb modprobe "-k" "adlib_card"
post-install awe_wave /usr/bin/sfxload "/usr/share/soundfonts/synthgs.sbk"
options sound.o dmabuf=1
options sb io=0x220 irq=5 dma=1 dma16=5 mpu_io=0x330
options adlib_card io=0x388
Now I renamed the module sound.o to _sound.O. It works!? But why? Just renaming
doesn't change anything in the module itself. This seems very strange to me.
BTW, I had no problems wit modutils-2.1.85.
Something about my system:
