I don't think that any further discussion of this is going to be
productive.
I'm not fully qualified to discuss the implementation issues about this
topic in the kernel. I can only describe how a particular FS feature
is used in a particular OS that I'm currently programing.
It's a very nice feature to have. That's all I can say.
