I've been seeing this for a while... Several of the file system
modules seem broken and unable to link into the kernel. My latest attempt
was with 2.3.13pre7 on a Pentium uniprocessor build.

Looks like "fat", "smbfs", and "ntfs" are broken.
I can live for a while without fat, and ntfs but smbfs is a problem
(I will follow up with Tridge on smbfs, though).
