i have some problems with filecorruption. thats not an 2.2.13pre11
only issue because i noticed this with other 2.2 kernel releases too.
i use vfat on my zip disks. the zip drive is attached to my second
scsi controller (ncr 810) as the last device. the other device
on the scsi bus is my hp4c scanner.
on my first scsi conrtoller (adaptec 2940uw) i have several scsi
disks, an scsi dat streamer and an scsi 5x cd-rom changer.
i mount the zip disk to /mnt/zip. here the line from /etc/fstab:
/dev/sde4 /mnt/zip vfat noauto,user 0 0
big files copied from the zip disk are usualy corruped. the corruption
is never the same. if i copy the same file multiple times and compare
among themselves all files differ.
the strange thing is, if i copy the same file with mcopy (mtools) i
never noticed any corruption!
