kernel 2.3.18 + ide.2.3.18.19990925 does not compile cleanly

kernel 2.3.18 + ide.2.3.18.19990925 does not compile cleanly, it fails with
a:

:806: unbalanced `#endif'

and indeed if you deket the #endif /* CONFIG_BLK_DEV_VIA82CXXX */ on line
806, which appears to be out of place, and a duplicate... everything
compiles fine.
