2.3.22 assembly problems in bbootsect.s

Hi,

2.3.22 won't compile on my box.

When I run 'make bzImage', the process stop like this:

make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.3.22/arch/i386/boot'
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.3.22/include -E -D__BIG_KERNEL__
-traditional -DSVGA_MODE=NORMAL_VGA bootsect.S -o bbootsect.s

bbootsect.s: Assembler messages:
bbootsect.s:641: Error: base/index register must be 32 bit register
bbootsect.s:649: Error: base/index register must be 32 bit register
bbootsect.s:650: Error: base/index register must be 32 bit register
bbootsect.s:651: Error: base/index register must be 32 bit register
bbootsect.s:907: Error: base/index register must be 32 bit register
make[1]: *** [bbootsect.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.3.22/arch/i386/boot'
make: *** [bzImage] Error 2

I use gcc 2.7.2.3 and binutils 2.9.1.

I've seen on this list that 2.3.21 and 2.3.22 have some other problems
regarding some i386 assembly language and I hope this hasn't been reporting
yet. Anyway I'm at yours disposition to test any patch.
