you're right, that's exactly what i meant and what noblink did!
But i dont think that the usual Linux user knows how to change the
cursor in such a way. (Even if a "man echo" will do.)
And since there is already quite some support for laptops et al in the
kernel configuration options, imo it would be a great benefit adding
an option there which would offer this feature (by using the "echo"
command).
Otherwise, most of the users will never know about it.
