I am aware of the pdc202xx.c issue and working on it.
The goofyness is that the same exact code core between 2.3.29 and
2.2.14-pre8 will crash one kernel but not the other.

I have conflicting reports of when/where the breakage in "pdc202xx.c"
happened.
