I've seen this on a VIA82CXXX. What I found had to be done was set the
drives to UDMA-66 mode 4 (Quantum LM in this case). That would fix the
problem of the driver resetting the bus and drives to non-dma. Also,
ide0=ata66 was used in lilo.
