Ouch, 33Megs! I remove all the other architectures and stuff and then
once I've made the kernel I do a make clean and keep the directory down
to approx a 3rd of that size. Perhaps you're not removing the extra files
generated by patch? Anyhow, as long as there's a backup system (for
the perlless) it sounds like a fine solution...
