This may be a SMP thing, because _without_ SMP the code has not changed
functionaly. And this I was afraid of when seeing the changes to the
vm86-stuff. Must have to do with the (un)lock_kernel() brackets that were
put around stuff, that is not executed sequencially (no return from a
function). I'm not sure if all cases are handled correctly.
Anyway, I have to wait until I get a chance to test this on my SMP box.
( which I currently don't get working with 2.1.24, because it silently
reboots without producing any logs ;-)
