Weird video effect of 2.1.30

Hello,

After installation of 2.1.30, my X screen is frequently wrapped
in moments of disk activity. Yes, my monitor is overclocked, and no, this
never appeared before 2.1.30. Now I've downgraded to .29, and X works
like a charm...
