In general, write isn't programmable. That enables emacs fans to claim it
can 'do anything' if you write the lisp, but write does what write does.
Either way I think the idea of a fat binary and emacs together is enough
to send any sysadmin running and screaming. A fat X server is another one
to fear.

}Not really. Write doesnt have lisp mode, C mode, vi emulation, teco
}emulation, a scientific calculator etc - they are totally different things.

Besides, you can't use write as your shell or boot with args:
init=/usr/bin/emacs
