Greetings,

I'm new to this list, so please excuse if this is an FAQ ;^)
Since I had some problems with the detection of my AWE64
through isapnptools-1.11 in kernel 2.0.31 I decided to take
a look at the most recent kernel 2.1.62 which -- as some
rumours said -- has integrated PnP support.
With isapnptools there where difficulties configuring
logical device 2 (wavetable) at startup (yes, I read the
isapnptools FAQ), no chance (?) to fix it. With kernel
2.1.62 I get messages as

Nov 6 13:09:47 sally kernel: AWE32 not found
Nov 6 13:09:47 sally kernel: AWE32: not detected
Nov 6 13:11:07 sally kernel: d_alloc: 937 unused, pruning dcache

too. Was this 'LD 2' problem fixed when ISA
PnP went into the kernel (because there are no messages
concerning PnP), or, how can it be fixed ? Thanks !

cu
Thorsten

PS: What's this mysterious 'pruning dcache' ?
