It looks like both of you have a problem with a scsi cdrom drive.
Yesterday I posted a patch for sr.c which fixed inconsistent use
if cli and spin_locks. I have tried it only with an ATAPI cdrom
and ide-scsi emulation support.
Some of the problems which you describe can be explained by
the things which I have fixed. Can you try my patch and give me
some feedback?
