Have you got anything else using IRQ 7?
Make sure that the parport drivers aren't loaded, and try to get a dump and
trace of the oops output. Also enable all the debugging in the ARCnet drivers.
Does anyone feel like sending me a couple of ARCnet cards so I can
look into this one?
