Same here, and I'm aware of some others having problems which have been
reported via mail and usenet. Changing configs hasn't changed a thing,
either with a minimum config or with all options at sensible or stupid
values.

ISTR the problem occurred 2.1.107-108. Symptoms are an apparent failure for one
end to see the LCP negotiation from the other resulting in an LCP timeout.

I've pulled down clean kernel and pppd sources (twice!) but with no
change. SLIP still works. This is DEFINITELY 2.3.5 pppd:) The same configs
work fine under 2.1.103. An example debug session is given below although
I can't remember exactly which config was used.

Note that I have got different debug messages but the same outcome when
trying Ascend or USR kit at the ISP end.

If anyone wants me to try anything, I'm all ears.

Mike
