Problem with aic7xxx driver on 2.0.35 (was working fine on .34)

Hi,

i have the following configuration:
1 on-board ncr53c875 scsi card with one disk attached
1 adaptec aha2940 with one disk

on 2.0.34 i used the ncr253c8xx and aic7xxx drivers, and everything was
fine.
After upgrading the kernel to 2.0.35 in order to use software mirroring,
the aic7xxx still recognizes the disk (currently scsi id 1) attached to
the adaptec card, then prints the following message on console, in an
endless loop:
- scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 21, scsi 1, channel 0, id
2, lun 0 Test Unit Ready 00 00 00 00 00

Note that
- there is no disk that has id 2
- this message is printed whether ncr driver (as a module) is
loaded before or after aic driver
- the same hardware (and module) configuration worked with
2.0.34

Any help would be appreciated to solve this problem (hardware misconfig,
driver bug ?).

Thanx,
