> Any reason not to have iwlmld (and iwlmvm in mvm) instead of a shared counter?
I was not sure if it would break user space.
This issue is fixed by thermal hwmon at

with commit d6323469bcfb ("thermal: hwmon: Register a hwmon device for each thermal zone") in v7.2-rc1.
