Re: [PATCH v2 2/2] media: i2c: Add Sony IMX908 image sensor driver
From: Sakari Ailus

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the patchset.
I'm happy to see Sony contributing a sensor drivers, even though it'd be
even nicer for sensor implementations to conform to MIPI CCS. That would
avoid having to write new sensor drivers.

Please use register name prefix for its value definitions. The comments
don't contain any additional information.

Please add macros for this such as IMX908_VREVERSE_ENABLE (or
IMX908_VREVERSE_INVERTED) for this.

Where does the default come from? Why not to use the minimum value?

I'd call these e.g. IMX908_VMAX_CROP_MARGIN and IMX908_VMAX_CROP_MIN unless
the datasheet implies otherwise.

No need to explicitly specify hexadecimal values as unsigned.

I think macros for values would be nicer than comments.

The rest of the symbols have an imx908 prefix, I'd add it here, too.

pm_runtime_mark_last_busy() is redundant here --
pm_runtime_put_autosuspend() already includes the call.

Could you make imx908_power_on() and imx908_power_off() take struct device

No need to check for errors here -- v4l2_fwnode_endpoint_alloc_parse()

You can set flags unconditionally after checking for the handler's error
below.

How about moving this to the runtime resume callback?

Why? If the device is powered on, that's always for a reason, isn't it?
I guess you could do this in the runtime suspend callback though.

Please call pm_runtime_idle(imx->dev) here.

I'd add a newline below before the labels.
