uh-huh. But the UP kernel works and 'noapic' doesn't help the SMP
kernel. I don't wanna know :-)
BTW, that problem I mentioned a couple of days back where an innocent
outb() in ide-probe.c is trashing the RTC if booted 'nosmp' - the
problem goes away if you boot 'nosmp noapic'.
