What will it be replaced with, and how will we communicate the need to
migrate to the various application developers? We can't just rip it out
next year and point at some obscure entry in a kernel file and say "but we
told you".
Some five-times-per-reboot printk which tells people they should be using
/sys/device/.../whatever-it-will-be-called might be appropriate.
