4.10.8 OOPS - BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference; IP: _raw_spin_lock+0x13/0x30

I'm running kernel 4.10.8-3.gea9dcd4 (from Opensuse's Kernel:Stable repo) on an Atom D525 box.

I just noticed an OOPS on *shutdown*; Since it autoreboots, *boots* without problem, and I hadn't been paying attention until now, I can't say how long this has been occurring.  On this box I follow the repo's current kernel-stable, and I'm fairly certain(ish) I didn't see the crash on restart in 4.10.7x series ...  I only have access to two prior 4.10.8x kernels, and the issue exists for both.
