Linux regressions report for mainline [2022-08-28]

Hi Linus! Below is a slightly edited report from regzbot listing all
regression from this cycle that the bot and I are aware of. The list is
a bit longer than last cycle, as I keep an eye on bugzilla this cycle again.

Not sure, maybe it would have been good if the following fix would have
found the way into rc3, as it seems more than just one or two people
already stumbled over the regression fixed by it:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git/commit/?h=master&ida8e0f6b01b14b2e28ba144e112c883f03a3db2
https://lore.kernel.org/all/?qbffc7*

But well, it's not as bad as the regression caused by the "Rework
asynchronous resume support" commit that you reverted on Friday, which
iirc at least five different people had bisected in the past two
weeks... :-/ I should have have prodded the maintainers to speed up to
get this fixed before rc2, which would have saved a few people some
trouble; too late now, but well, I learned my lesson.

BTW, the 0-bot people make regzbot now track regressions their bot
finds. I'm not yet sure if that is a good idea, as it seems quite a few
developers don't even bother to reply to the reports from the bot -- at
least that's the fate so far for four recent mainline problems 0-bot
reported while getting regzbot involved:

Thanks for your attention, have a nice day!

Regzbot, your hard working Linux kernel regression tracking robot

P.S.: Wanna know more about regzbot or how to use it to track regressions
for your subsystem? Then check out the getting started guide or the
reference documentation:

https://gitlab.com/knurd42/regzbot/-/blob/main/docs/getting_started.md
https://gitlab.com/knurd42/regzbot/-/blob/main/docs/reference.md

The short version: if you see a regression report you want to see
tracked, just send a reply to the report where you Cc
regressions@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with a line like this:

#regzbot introduced: v5.13..v5.14-rc1

If you want to fix a tracked regression, just do what is expected
anyway: add a 'Link:' tag with the url to the report, e.g.:
