Yep. I've been running Linux over two years and have looked at a
bunch of kernel code and even made some fixes and tweaks, and I had no
idea until last month that you could scroll VCs. I probably would not
even know how to *switch* VCs except I worked on Xenix 10 years ago.
I had certainly never heard of the mysterious sequences Alan posted
for getting dumps. Since I have never felt a great need to scroll VCs
(or xterms, for that matter), I have already forgotten how to do it --
and I also quickly forgot the dump sequences (but at least I saved
them in a file somewhere in case I need to know them some day).
