oddity with w and 2.0.0

I just upgraded from redhat 2.3 to 3.0.3, then upgraded the kernel 2.0.0
rpm's, and then finally the kernel to 2.0.0 after 50+ days uptime with 1.3.94.

Now, when I do w to see who's online, here's the result:
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT
sgwIII ttyC2 5:41pm 25:38 0.00s ? -
jmonroe ttyC4 4:51pm 1:16m 0.00s ? -

The reason that this is odd to me is the what field. Under the old kernel
and distrabution, the result would have looked like this:
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT
sgwIII ttyC2 5:41pm 25:38 0.00s ? /usr/sbin/pppd
jmonroe ttyC4 4:51pm 1:16m 0.00s ? /usr/sbin/pppd

I'm not sure if this is a bug, a new feature, or something that I did wrong.
Although I can probably get used to not seeing what's in the WHAT. But I
would rather not if I don't have to :)
