Problems with big IDE drives...

Hello,
I've just installed a new 3.2 GB IDE harddisk (my other harddisks are 3 GB
IDE disk (Primary Master) and a 2 GB SCSI disk), which seems to cause
problems with linux (LILO) bootup (I've tried connecting it as Secondary
Master and Primary Slave, both with the same result):

Lilo just prints "LI" and hangs the system.

fdisk says:
>The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 6296.
>This is larger than 1024, and may cause problems with:
>1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., LILO)
>2) booting and partitioning software form other OSs
> (e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)

I don't suppose there's a way to reduce the number of cylinders...

Strangely enough, when I change the CMOS entry for the harddisk to "None",
everything works just fine, I even can access the harddisk with Linux.
The problem with this is that it doesn't permit me to use the harddisk on
the other OSes I've installed (Memphis and OS/2 Warp 4).

Is there any way to fix this?
