Writing to confirm that the pre patches for 5.1.0 have indeed made a
difference for my system. I was getting devices to come up randomly using
the default 2.0.34 kernel driver (5.0.14?). With 5.0.19, nothing would
come up.
Installing 5.1.0pre2 has put me in the position where I can now boot-up
though I haven't rebooted enough times to be sure that it is 100% reliable
yet (i.e. not the situation I had with 5.0.14).
This is on an AHA-2940UW with PPro/440FX chipset using default aic7xxx.c
#defines.
Thanks.
