#wavplay bigcdquality.wav
<lock>
or
#amp some.mp3
<lock>
However,
#cat /dev/random > /audio
Does not lock until I try to do anything else!
It looks like it's some weird interupt problem to me..
The system is a Dual 166pentium (w/ smp kernel). I have a friend with an
almost identical system (slower cpus, ide hdd, sb16, sb on irq 5, 3com
isa nic) and sound works fine for him..
I have a Buslogic card (on irq 17), AWE32 (on irq 10), a pci ne2k clone
(on irq 19). There should be no conflicts.
I'm going to try switching to a 3c905 from the ne2k and see if it fixes
it.. If that doesn't work I guess I'm going to have to try every kernel
between 2.1.101->2.1.105 then find the problem patch.
<sigh>
