Yep. I can trigger my screen shift by doing anything that generates a
kernel message in the syslog. Choice of window manager seems irrelevant.
My current favourite example is mdir a: with no disk in the drive.
Reproducible on demand if anyone has any bright ideas for me to try out to
fix it ...
