netscape 4.0X/4.5 and kernel 2.1.12X

sorry,
of course it'll be RTFM, but am I the only one to see problems on
Netscape 4.0X/4.5
with RH 5.[12], glibc-2.0.7-29, kernel 2.1.12[78] ?
It shows when I try to send an email. Netscape gets frozen, no refresh,
and strace (I seem to remember) shows a lot of flock activity.
If I'm the only one to see the problem, I'll try to go deeper in the
analysis as perhaps it's related to having my ~/.netscape/ on a NFS
mounted dir.
