I recently switched to an Abit LX-6 Slot 1 motherboard and a P-II 333
CPU. I'm still running kernel v2.0.33 but now it seems that my
sound card is no longer detected.
cat /dev/sndstat yeilds the usual stuff...

I know this means the card is configured but not detected but what I don't
understand is why it isn't being detected now when it was working with the
other motherboard? I also don't know how to fix it.
I have tried booting to DOS/Win95 and the sound card works perfectly there.
I have tried booting to DOS/Win95 to initialize the card and then a warm
reboot to linux without luck.
I have tried various IRQ/DMA combinations that match what DOS and Win95
configure the card at but they don't work either.
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem?
I've even used teh SoundBlaster-AWE64 mini-howto but it doesn't seem to
yeild progress. The parts about the isapnptools doesn't seem to work.
pnpdump yeilds results which are just this (with comment and blank lines
removed)...

I do have the motherboard set to be a pnp OS and the resources are
controlled automatically. There are no resource conflicts as far as
IRQs and DMAs go so I'm at a total loss as to what to do to fix this
problem.
